A day on the Isle of Harris

After driving and ferrying back from a photoshoot in Balivanich yesterday, I decided to camp at Luskentyre for the night and spend the next day taking photographs in Harris. It was a great night for camping, and Luskentyre is one of my favourite spots – wild camping with amazing views, plenty of space and hardly any other campers (but with access to toilets, which is always a bonus!). Here are some iPhone shots of where I pitched my tent and the view from it:TentI woke slowly the next morning, listening to the sea lapping the shore, then spent some time walking along the beach and taking photographs before packing up and heading back south towards Leverburgh, stopping for photographs and a walk in Scarista.HarrisI then headed up the west coast on the Golden Road, and stopped to explore some abandoned croft houses in some of the small villages, before heading home.Abandoned.jpg
